The Cook County medical examiner’s office determined that the deaths of the twin Roberson girls were homicides. Kimora and Kimari died of “hyperthermia, environmental exposure and failure to thrive due to maternal neglect.” Officials said they each weighed just 13 pounds. They were found unresponsive on the evening of August 12th in their home at 10649 South Wentworth Avenue. The police were called about 5:50 p.m. and they summoned paramedics. The children were taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where they were pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m.
